Sustainable Materials
We focus on sourcing sustainable and eco-friendly materials, such as recycled polyester, organic cotton, and biodegradable fabrics, to reduce the environmental footprint of our products. We are continuously exploring new sustainable fibers and materials to incorporate into our manufacturing processes.
Energy Efficiency
We have taken significant steps to reduce our carbon footprint, including investing in solar energy. In 2021, Kin Yen invested RM500,000 in solar panels to generate electricity, which helps us reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and lowers the overall energy consumption of our operations.
Waste Reduction
Our commitment to sustainability extends to waste management. We aim to reduce waste throughout our production processes by implementing efficient production techniques and recycling fabric remnants whenever possible. Additionally, we have set a long-term target for 2027, aiming for 50% of the resources used in production to be recyclable.
Water and Chemical Management
We prioritize the responsible use of water and chemicals, employing best practices to minimize water usage and reduce the discharge of harmful chemicals. We continuously monitor and improve our practices to ensure we meet environmental standards and protect local ecosystems.
Long-Term Sustainability Goals
At Kin Yen, we are focused on long-term sustainability. We have set ambitious targets to improve our practices over the coming years, including increasing the use of recyclable materials, further reducing waste, and increasing energy efficiency across our operations. By 2027, we aim to have 50% of the resources used for production be recyclable, underscoring our commitment to responsible manufacturing.
